When working with our clients we often see their wardrobes are very monotone. They have lots of blue, grey, and black but lack a variety of color. When we question this, the answer is always the same.
"I'm not good at matching and these are easy colors because everything goes with them."
The problem is that to look good, one shouldn't match, they should use complementary colors to add pop to their look. Use this helpful chart below to aid you in understanding what colors work best together.
...by spinning the pointer. For instance if you are wearing a blue sport coat or suit, then use the chart pointer to select the blue segment of the chart. When doing that you'll find that orange is blue's complementary color and that Red-Orange and Yellow-Orange are split complementary meaning that colors from one of the segments should be found somewhere in your ensemble. Therefore, consider a tie and/or pocket square with one, or two, of these colors in it.
You can always count on us to help you with this, however, if you're ever in a pinch, please reference this chart to help you!
